Production standards

The difference between an average event and a broadcast-grade one is rarely the gear list. It is engineering, preparation, and discipline. Here is how we work, and the language behind it.

13+years producing in the DMV
400K+subscribers & followers across our channels
25.7M+views across our published videos
5.9Mviews on our top video
131+episodes of Senselet, our weekly TV drama
158+productions in our video catalog

Video & Film

Picture that matches from camera to camera and holds up on a big screen.

  • Matched cameras, lenses, and color profiles across a multi-camera shoot so cuts feel seamless.
  • ISO recording of every angle, so an edit can be rebuilt or re-cut after the event.
  • Exposure, white balance, and shutter set for the lighting in the room, not left on auto.
  • Capture resolution chosen for the deliverable: 4K and higher when the project warrants it.
  • Color grading and sound mixing as standard steps in the edit, not extras.

Live Sound & Recording

Clear speech and full music at every seat, captured cleanly for later.

  • Line-array PA sized and aimed to the room so coverage is even from the front row to the back.
  • Careful gain structure and feedback control, so speech is loud enough without ringing.
  • Wireless microphones frequency-coordinated for the venue to avoid dropouts and interference.
  • A dedicated front-of-house engineer riding the mix for the whole event.
  • Multi-track recording alongside the live mix, so the audio can be remixed and mastered afterward.

Lighting Design

Lighting that looks right in the room and on camera.

  • Fixtures and cues programmed in advance and checked at rehearsal, not improvised on show day.
  • Color temperature matched to the cameras, so skin tones and brand colors stay accurate on video.
  • Separate looks for keynote washes, performances, and receptions, with clean transitions.
  • Uplighting and architectural lighting used to transform the venue, not just brighten it.
  • An operator on site for the full event to adjust to what actually happens on stage.

LED, Projection & IMAG

Screens sized and specified for how far away your audience sits.

  • LED pixel pitch and screen size chosen from viewing distance, not from what is in stock.
  • Projection used where it suits the room and ambient light, and LED where brightness demands it.
  • IMAG camera operators and a switcher, so the speaker on screen is framed like a broadcast.
  • Confidence monitors and presenter views so speakers can see their slides and timers.
  • Content scaled and tested on the actual screens before the audience arrives.

Live Streaming & Hybrid

A remote audience treated as a first-class audience.

  • Multi-camera switching with graphics and slides composited into one program.
  • Audio taken from the house mix, not from a camera microphone in the room.
  • A tested primary path and a backup path, plus a local recording so nothing is lost.
  • Platform and network tested ahead of time at the expected audience load.
  • A dedicated stream operator watching the feed from doors to wrap.

Design & Software

The brand and technology layer around the event and beyond it.

  • Event branding, signage, and motion graphics designed as one consistent system.
  • Registration sites, landing pages, and microsites built to capture leads.
  • Custom web and mobile platforms shipped as real production products, like LasLaf.com.
  • Multilingual and installable (PWA) builds for audiences who use their phones first.
  • Security and performance treated as part of the build, not a later add-on.

How a production runs with us

  1. 01

    Discovery

We learn your goals, audience, date, and venue, and give an honest view of what the event needs.

  2. 02

    Site survey

We visit the venue or review its specifications: power, rigging, sightlines, load-in, and network.

  3. 03

    Design & pre-production

We design audio, video, lighting, and streaming as one system and build the run-of-show.

  4. 04

    Rehearsal & show day

A technical rehearsal catches problems early; then an in-house crew runs the show with a single point of contact.

  5. 05

    Delivery & archive

You receive edited files, recordings, and galleries in the formats you need, with archives kept safe.

Event technology, in plain English

IMAG
Image magnification: live camera video shown on large screens so the whole room can see the stage.
ISO recording
Recording each camera on its own, in addition to the live mix, so any angle can be re-edited later.
Line array
A speaker system built from stacked modules that delivers even sound across a large room.
Gain structure
Setting audio levels at every stage of the signal chain to get loudness without noise or distortion.
Front of house (FOH)
The audio position and engineer who mixes the sound the audience hears.
Pixel pitch
The spacing between LEDs on a video wall; tighter pitch is needed when viewers sit closer.
DMX
The control protocol used to program and run stage lighting fixtures.
Run-of-show
The minute-by-minute document that lists every cue, speaker, and transition in an event.
Redundancy
A backup for every single point of failure, so one problem does not stop the show.
Hybrid event
An event with a live in-room audience and a produced remote audience at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of events do you produce?

We produce weddings and celebrations, corporate conferences and town halls, live concerts and festivals, brand activations, music videos, and live-streamed or hybrid events across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

How does pricing work?

Every production is quoted to your event: venue, headcount, hours, crew, equipment, and deliverables. Fill out the quote form or call and we will send a real quote.

Do I need separate vendors for sound, video, and lighting?

No. Audio, video, lighting, streaming, photography, and design are in-house, so you have one accountable team and one point of contact.

Can you record and livestream my event?

Yes. We capture multi-camera video and multi-track audio, and can stream to the platforms you choose while recording an archive.

Can I see examples of your work?

Yes. Our gallery includes more than 150 videos and dozens of photos from live concerts, ceremonies, music videos, and events.

Do you rent equipment?

Yes. Cameras, audio, lighting, staging, streaming kits, and security equipment are available; see the Equipment Rental page and add items to a quote.

What areas do you serve?

Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, including Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax and Tysons, Montgomery County, and Prince George's County.
